Photo Restoration and Enhancement

How do I get started?

Each photo restoration or enhancement project presents a unique challenge. Because no two projects are alike, the cost can only be determined by examining your photos or other images. You will be given a firm price quote before your restoration or enhancement project is started. To learn more about the cost of these services, please review our Photo Restoration and Enhancement Pricing page.

Step One: Requesting A Quote

There are several ways you can provide us with a copy of your photos or other images to request a quote:

1. Send us the original.

2. Send a high resolution scan by scanning it yourself or having it scanned at a copy

center using the steps provided in our Scanning Instructions.

3. Send a low resolution "home" scan intended simply for review and quote purposes.

4. Send a good quality photo copy (color copy preferred).

If you send us your original images, we do not recommend writing on either the front or the back of them. We’ve found the best way to provide instructions is to make a photocopy and write your instructions on the copy. Sticky notes attached to the back of a photo can also be used.

Original photos, photo copies and scanned images saved to a CD or DVD can be sent to us by mail or express delivery services. Scanned images can be uploaded directly to using our Upload Images FTP site. Most high resolution files when scanned properly are too large to send via e-mail. "Home" scans can be e-mailed to us individually if they are smaller than 5 megabytes. However you request your quote, don't forget to complete and include a Photo Restoration and Enhancement Quote Request form!

Step Two: Receiving Your Quote

Once we've reviewed your project, we'll e-mail your quote or send a written quote by mail.

Step Three: Accept/Reject Your Quote

Accepting your quote...

If your quote is e-mailed, the quote will include a button to "PayPal", a secure and easy online payment service. Confirmation of your payment from PayPal will confirm your acceptance of the quote and allow us to get started on your project. Or you can print the e-mail and send us a copy of the e-mail along with a check or money order or make your payment by using our convenient PayPal link..

If your quote was provided by mail, you may send us the signed quote along with a check or money order.

Rejecting your quote...

All materials provided to us with your request for a quote will be kept until you notify us that you do not wish to proceed with your restoration or enhancement project or for a maximum period of 30 days.

If you decide not to proceed with your restoration project, we will return your photos to you by priority mail or another express delivery service. Uploaded images will be deleted from our files. CD and DVDs will only be returned when specifically requested.

Step Four: Approving Your Proof

Upon completion of your photo restoration, a digital proof will be e-mailed to you or a paper proof will be mailed. If you decide that more corrections are needed, we will make them, and re-send approval copies. The final approval of your project will be when you receive and inspect the final print(s). Your satisfaction is guaranteed!

Step Five: Delivery of Your Finished Order

Your final prints and your original photos and other materials will be securely packaged and shipped to you. A tracking number will be sent to you via e-mail. A signature will be required for delivery of all completed projects.
