Photo Montage Design Prices

Montage design charges are based on the number of images used in the montage. The design fee includes high resolution scanning, basic image restoration, color balancing and design and layout. The montage design fee does not include the cost of prints. See Print Prices Below

 

Special services, including major photo restoration, removal of subjects from photos, conversion of images to sepia (brown) toned images, special photo enhancement requests such as background removal, and addition of text will be itemized separately.

 

At Milestone Images, there are no surprises when you receive your final invoice. You will be given an exact price quote before your montage is started.

Custom Digital and Wide Format Print Prices

Custom prints are available on a wide variety of papers and media up to 24"x90". Larger prints will be quoted at the time of your order. Images printed to custom sizes will be billed at the next largest print price, i.e., a 10"x12" print will be billed as a 11"x14" print.

 

Montage images and restored or enhanced images are typically printed on Epson Premium Luster paper. Wedding and portrait photographers have traditionally used luster paper for their photos. This versatile paper produces vivid, lifelike images with the highest resolution and color saturation possible.

 

 

Standard Print Pricing

The prices listed below are for premium luster, enhanced matte, semi-matte and glossy surface prints. Archival fine art paper, canvas and specialty media prints are also available (see below). Please add 25% to the prices listed for prints on those special order surfaces.

Protective Spray Coating:

$2.25 per square foot  (1 square foot minimum)

We use Bull Dog Ultra Clear waterproof protective spray. It’s become a very popular alternative framing solution that presents your art in the most natural light possible, while providing the protection you need. It is waterproof and easy to care for, when used without glass it gives your print a more “natural” look, protects it from harmful UV light exposure, and resists finger prints.

 

Posters, Signs & Banners

Posters, signs and banners are priced based on the total square feet of the printed image, resulting in lower prices per image that are less expensive than typical sign shop prints. Please request a quote for your poster, sign or banner order.

Photo Restoration & Enhancement

Because each photo restoration and photo enhancement project is different and the time required to complete your project can vary significantly with each image, you will receive a written quote for all restoration projects before work begins. The following "typical" price ranges are intended only as a guideline for estimating final costs. To see samples of each restoration and enhancement category, go to our Restoration Galleries page. These prices do not include the cost of scans or prints. See scanning and print charges.

Simple Restoration: $5 to $25

Minor restoration includes repairs to an entire photograph for color cast, fading or uneven lighting, minor scratches and tears in the background and foreground areas, dust and lint, and minor damage to the primary subject area. To see Simple Restoration examples, click here.

Moderate Restoration: $26 to $50

Significant fading or discoloration and yellowing; marks on primary subject area, dust spots, water spots, scratches, stains or writing in non-vital areas; missing detail in backgrounds and foregrounds, surface cracks.

Major Restoration: $51 and up

Major tears and surface damage to primary subjects; heavy scratches, marks or stains across faces, hands or other vital parts of photo. Significant parts of photo missing. Severe water, smoke damage or mildew damage. Damage requiring significant repair of facial details.
